Plant-Based Milks – Recipes & Preparation
🌾 Oat Milk

Ingredients:
·
200g gluten-free oats (or 100g
for 500ml water)
·
Lukewarm water (twice the
quantity of oats)
·
A pinch of salt
·
Preparation:
·
Soak oats overnight.
·
Blend oats with lukewarm water
and a pinch of salt.
·
Strain through a fine sieve.
·
Pour into a bottle and store in
the fridge.
🌰 Almond Milk
·
Ingredients:
·
10 almonds per 100ml of water
·
Cold water only (never warm)
·
Half a teaspoon of salt
·
Preparation:
·
Soak almonds overnight.
·
Blend with cold water and salt.
·
Strain and store in a glass
bottle in the fridge.
🥥 Coconut Milk & Cream
·
Ingredients:
·
1 whole coconut
·
Water
·
Optional: oven for easier
cracking
·
Preparation:
·
Extract coconut water, crack
the shell and remove the pulp.
·
Grate the pulp (large holes
preferred).
·
Weigh the pulp. Use up to 5x
water for volume.
·
Blend pulp and water. Strain to
get coconut milk.
·
For coconut cream: chill the
milk for 3–4 hours. The cream will rise and can be scooped out.
🌿 Hemp Milk
·
Ingredients:
·
1 tbsp hemp seeds per 100ml
water (3 tbsp = ~300ml)
·
Half a teaspoon of salt
·
Preparation:
·
Blend seeds with water and
salt.
·
Strain and store in a bottle.
🌰 Macadamia Milk
·
Ingredients:
·
10 macadamia nuts per 100ml
water
·
Lukewarm water (not hot!)
·
Half a teaspoon of salt
·
Preparation:
·
Blend all ingredients together.
·
Strain the milk and pour into a
bottle.
